Who is the DoddFather?

Dodd spent 11 years as a Marine Corps Infantry Officer, rising from enlisted Marine to commissioned officer. He led as a Rifle Platoon Commander, Rifle Company Executive Officer, Officer in Charge of the 1st Marine Division Scout Sniper School, and Operations Officer for the 1st Marine Reconnaissance Company, before service-related injuries led to his early retirement.

In the private sector, Dodd founded and chaired the advisory board of a strategic advisory and investing firm, helping clients win government contracts worth a combined $8.2B. He has also advised private equity and venture capital funds focused on defense, evaluating technologies across autonomous systems, next-gen logistics, command-and-control interoperability, and other emerging capabilities.
